This solicitation sets forth the requirements for non-personal services for remedial and preventive maintenance of Hewlett-Packard (HP) ADPE. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded for a base period of 12 months with four (4) one-year options. A draft Purchase Description has been published on the World Wide Web (www.wsmr.army.mil/docpage/docpage.htm) for comments to be submitted no later than 23 July 1998. It is anticipated that technical proposals will consist primarely of oral presentations along with submission of supplementary written material. The primary purpose of applying this innovative approach is to save the offeror time and money in proposal preparation and reduce the Government's evaluation time.
