Bids will also include 1) an option for four additional barracks buildings and an adjacent, single story, 910 SM soldier community building, 2) an option for another two barracks buildings and 3) an option for one more barracks building. All options will include supporting facilities such as electric service, fire protection and alarm systems, paving, walks, curbs, and gutters, parking, storm drainage, and landscaping. Foundations will be pier and grade beam with structurally supported slabs. Roofs will be standing seam metal. Heating and air conditioning will utilize a central chiller and boiler with a 4-pipe system. Variable air volume will be used in the community building and individual fan coil units will be used in the barracks. The barracks includes living/sleeping rooms, private bath, walk-in closets, built-in desks and shelving, and service areas. An intrusion detection system is required. Estimated cost range of this project is $25,000,000 to $100,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about August 7, 1998, and will be provided on Compact Disks (CD-ROM) free of charge. It has been determined that the number of Compact Disks will be limited to one (1) per firm. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
