Starkey, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-0564 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ)FBI CU#9842. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular (FAC) 97-05. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3641 and the Business Size Standard is 1000 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Instruments SA, Inc., 3880 Park Ave, Edison, New Jersey, 08820. The requirement consists of the following: SPEX Crime Scope Continuously tunable forensic light source system(PART #CS-16-10) with 20 wavelengths- Qty. of three (3). Each system to include: automated 15 position filter wheel, 15 filter mounted on wheel: 415, 430, 445, 455 475, 495, CSS, 515, 535, 555, 575, 600, 635, 670 and white light, UV (300-380nm)built in, 10mm diameter 2 meter long liquid light guide for UV -visible light, manual 12 position filter wheel with available positions for custom filters, field upgradeable, 3 high power edge filter: longpass-VIS:(1) 480nm, Shortpass-VIS:520nm; and Bandpass-VIS:575nm,set of five goggles: (1) UV protective, (1) yellow, (2) orange, and (1) red, set of 4 62mm diameter camera filters with ring adapters: (2) orange longpass, (1) red longpass, (1) red bandpass, remote heavy duty flexible arm to hold liquid light guide, carrying case; Qty. of 3 CS-Remote-wavelength selector at working end of light guide; Warranty: one year on all parts and labor -- Delivery 45 days after receipt of order (ARO) -- FOB-Destination to Cheverly IndustrialPark, Cheverly, Maryland, 20781.
