Requirement is for Interim Contractor Support Requests for Solicitation. (ICS) of C-130 aircraft new and peculier systems and subsystems. Includes administrative, planning, and management services for the implementation of ICS, maintenance and repair services, compatibility with existing warranties, supply support and inventory management, repair of recoverable items, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, and data collection. Support will cover approximately 20-25 sites in the CONUS and Hawaii. Systems to be covered include but are not limited to, Night Vision Imaging System, Flight, Engine, & Navigation Instruments, Autopilot/Flight Director, APN-169 Station Keeping Equipment (SKE), Electrical Power Upgrade, 513 VHF-FM, APN 241, Master Advisory Cautiuon and Warning System (MACAWS), Landing Gear System (SKI), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), and APX-100. Coverage is contemplated for a one year basic contract and three annual option periods. 0 April 1998. The approximate issue/response date will be 10 NOV 1998. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Security clearance will be required of all bidders offerors.
