Agency (EPA), Office of Water (OW), Office of Wetlands, Oceans, and
Watersheds (OWOW), Oceans and Coastal Protection Division (OCPD) has a
requirement for a drydock and maintenance services for the EPA'S Ocean
Survey Vessel, the Peter W. Anderson. The drydocking is expected to
take place the second half of March, 1999. The Anderson may be
drydocked using a floating drydock, or marine railway. The Anderson is
a converted U.S. Navy PG-84/92 Class Patrol Gunboat. It is 165 feet
long with a beam of 24 feet and a displacement of 250 tons. The
Anderson has two Cummins VT 12-875M Diesel Engines and two Liaaen
controllable pitch propellers. The EPA anticipates a fixed price/fixed
rate type contract. This acquisition will be set aside 100% for small
business. The SIC code is 3731 and the size standard is 1000
employees. Solicitation PR-CI-99-13388 will appear on the Internet. It
