The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Water (OW), Office of Wetlands, Oceans, and Watersheds (OWOW), Oceans and Coastal Protection Division (OCPD) has a requirement for a drydock and maintenance services for the EPA'S Ocean Survey Vessel, the Peter W. Anderson. The drydocking is expected to take place the second half of March, 1999. The Anderson may be drydocked using a floating drydock, or marine railway. The Anderson is a converted U.S. Navy PG-84/92 Class Patrol Gunboat. It is 165 feet long with a beam of 24 feet and a displacement of 250 tons. The Anderson has two Cummins VT 12-875M Diesel Engines and two Liaaen controllable pitch propellers. The EPA anticipates a fixed price/fixed rate type contract.
