This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposal is being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67399-99-Q-0026 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The provision and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-10. This requirement is for repair for the following items: Clin #0001 -- Seventy-seven (77) electric dryers (several brand names such as Whirlpool, Speed Queen, or Magic Chef) -- which have various missing panel parts, such as knobs, indicators; broken or missing door latches, and a variety of inoperable features such as, but not limited to missing cords, do not tumbles, do not heat, will not power on or do not work at all; Clin #0002 Seventy-five (75) clothes washers (several brand names such as Whirlpool, Speed Queen, Magic Chef) -- which have various missing panel parts, such as knobs, indicators, broken or missing lids, and a variety of inoperable features such as, but not limited to missing hose, agitates but not spin water out, will not power on or do not work at all; Clin #0003 Seventy-two (72) refrigerators (large, small and 7.7 cubit foot; brand names such as Whirlpool, Westinghouse, Abscold, Admiral General Electric, Hot Point) wich do not get cold, freezes everything, fans do not come on, freon leaks out or do not work at all; Clin #0004 Twelve (12) gas dryers stacks (brand name Speed Queen) that have various missing panel parts such as knobs, indicators, broken or missing door latches and a variety of inoperable features such as, but not limited to heats but not tumble, tumbles but not heat, gas lines leaks, will not power on, do not work at all. Repair should take place at Property Control Office (PCO), Bldg 1102-10, MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms, CA 92278.
