CONCURRENT EVENTS: 6 TO 8 APRIL 1999 ADVANCE PLANNING BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY (APBI) AND AN INTELLIGENCE SURVEILLANCE AND RECONNAISSANCE (ISR) TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM Announcing the collaborative effort of two concurrent events to be conducted 6-8 April 1999 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. They are the Advance Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI) hosted by Team Huachuca and an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Technology Symposium. The format for this collaborative effort will be a Golf Tournament (open to APBI & ISR attendees, limitation on number of participants, first come basis) and early APBI registration on April 6, 1999. On April 7, there will be morning and afternoon APBI briefs. Approximately, one hour of this briefing time will be dedicated to the ISR. On April 8, the ISR Technology Symposium will be conducted in a separate facility on Fort Huachuca from the APBI. On April 8, the APBI will continue with morning briefs and the afternoon will be dedicated to a Business and Community Exposition. APBI presenters from April 7 & 8 of the conference will be available all afternoon for one-on-one and small group discussions. Industry is invited to actively participate in this exposition (space is limited, tables/discussion areas will be assigned on a first come basis). A draft agenda is available through the Team Huachuca website (www.isec-sig.army.mil/teamhua) and the Coronado Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) website (www.coronado-ncma.org). Senior members of each Team Huachuca partner are scheduled to give the APBI presentations. Presenters will highlight each organization's goals and objectives and anticipated mission changes over the next three to five years. Included among the APBI presentations for contracting opportunities are: U.S. Army Intelligence Center (USAIC), Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC), U.S. Army Information System Engineering Command (USAISEC), and U.S. Army Signal Command (USASC). APBI presentations will be held in the Command Theater at Greely Hall on Fort Huachuca. An early APBI sign-in registration and reception begins at 4:30 p.m. on April 6 at the Lakeside Activity Centre located onFort Huachuca. To obtain more APBI information and register on-line go to www.coronado-ncma.org. TEAM HUACHUCA encourages early APBI registration as attendance will be limited to 300. APBI Industry Registration fee is $300.00. APBI registration includes CD of APBI proceedings and accompanying Briefing Book; lunch on Apr 7th (speaker to be announced); an Icebreaker Reception on April 7th which is sufficient for a meal; a buffet luncheon in conjunction with the Business & Community Exposition on April 8th; and continental breakfasts on both April 7th and 8th. Dress code for all APBI conference sessions and social events will be Arizona casual. The U.S. Army Intelligence Center extends an invitation to government and industry to attend the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Symposium held 0800-1200 on 8 April 1999 in Alverado Auditorium. As a result of the senior-level ISR Symposium held on February 11, 1999 at Fort Monroe, the U.S. Army Intelligence Center Combat Developments Division is leading an effort to integrate ISR requirements across the Army. The purpose of this meeting is to: (1) provide feedback and results from the initial meeting to the ISR community; (2) offer a description of the future of ISR development; (3) present the current draft ISR Army Concept; and (4) suggest areas within the Army ISR Campaign Plan for applicable industry solutions. Unlike the other briefings being held during the APBI, the ISR Symposium is targeted toward those government and industry personnel familiar with the ISR subject area. No ISR conference fee is expected. Industry officials attend the ISR Symposium at no cost to the Government. POC for registration is SFC Austin at (520) 538-1431, or via the preferred method of Email, at austinb@huachuca-emh1.army.mil. Because of the technical scope of the ISR Symposium, registration is separate from the overall APBI. Posted 03/16/99 (W-SN308862).
