The Television -- Audio Support Activity (T-ASA) is a DoD level field
activity assigned to the American Forces Information Service (AFIS).
T-ASA supports AFIS and all military departments, i.e., Army, Air
Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Reserve components, National
Guard units, the Defense Information School, and other Federal
government organizations in their acquisition of radio and television
broadcast equipment and visual information facilities. This notice
represents neither an RFP or IFB. Solicitations are not available nor
does the Government intend to pay for information sought. T-ASA is
seeking to identify sources in the Federal Supply Group 58, 59, and 67
who may be interested in entering into special arrangements, such as
Indefinite Delivery Contracts (IDC) and/or store front exposure in the
DLA Electronic Mall (www.supply.dla.mil), utilizing contractor
established catalogs. T-ASA acquires and supports the following types
of equipment/systems: electronic news gathering (ENG; visual
information; audio and sound reinforcement; radio and television
production; radio and television broadcasting; video compression and
direct broadcast satellite transmission and reception; electronics
multimedia imaging (EMIC); video distribution, storage and retrieval;
non-linear editing and graphics workstations; CATV; language
laboratories; engineering, training and support systems and services;
multi-point microwave distribution; transmitters. The T-ASA contracting
office desires to better serve our customer's recurring needs in these
areas by obtaining, as a minimum, better discounts, delivery, dealer
support, warranty or any other enhancements. Request that all firms
that supply FSC Groups 58, 59, and 67 who are interested in assisting
T-ASA in the development of these special arrangements, submit the
following information within 30 days of this notice: name and address
of firm, including principal point of contact for this action, to
include name, title, phone/fax number and e-mail address; size of
business: average annual revenue for past 3 years and/or number of
employees; ownership: large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a) and/or
woman-owned; listing of Manufacturers represented/sold, e.g. a
line-card; and number of years in business. In addition, please
indicate your interest in attending a capabilities conference at T-ASA,
McClellan AFB, Sacramento, California, to be held at a yet to be
determined date. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT
TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. A SOLICITATION MAY
OR MAY NOT RESULT FROM THIS ACTION AND NO CONTRACT(S) WILL BE AWARDED
DIRECTLY AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE
MADE FOR ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT NOR FOR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. Your
