cover the period March 1, 2000 through February 28, 2002, plus 3
govermental unilateral renewal options for one year. The RFP will be
available on the World Wide Web site, http://

approximate average capacity strength is 1030 students of which 520 are
residential males, 460 are residential females, 15 are non-residential
males, and 35 are non-residential females. Included inthe above total,
the Contractor will provide a solo parent/child care program on-center
for 40 solo parents and 60 pre-school children. The surge capacity
will be 1060. The contractor will provded outreach/screening/placement
services for 500 students, 300 males and 200 females. Preposal
conference and walk-through tour of the Job Corps Center will be on
June 23, 1999 at 9:00 A.M. local time at the Turner Job Corps Center,
2000 Schilling Avenue, Albany, Georgia. PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE
CLOTHING! The contractor shall provide Academic and Vocational
Training, operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and
operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of
Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and
Legal Services. The contractor will also prvide overall Center
Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel
Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and
Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and
Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. The
Government desires to haved an experienced contracotr train, and
oversee, for a period of two years a protege-subcontractor will be
selected by the Prime Contractor and will be identified in the
Contractor's proposal to operate the Turner Job Corps Center in
response to this RFP. Firms eligible to be considered
Protege-subcontractors include ALL SMALL BUSINESSES, SMALL DISADVANTAGE
BUSINESSES, AND SMALL WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS. Proposals in response to
this RFP will be due no later 2:00 P.M., local time on August 4, 1999.
