58 -- COMMON IFF DIGITAL TRANSPONDER POC Lenita Ahmadi, Phone (301)757-5914 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to conduct one-on-one pre-solicitation meetings with potential offerors for anticipated Common Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Digital Transponder requirements. Refer to CBD announcements of 8 Feb 99 and 14 May 99 for previous Requests For Information (RFI) regarding this potential requirement. Also refer to the NAVAIR homepage (www.navair.navy.mil/air20/air214/index.cfm), under N00019-99-NANA for additional information, including a Draft Performance Specification for the Common IFF Digital Transponder. One-on-one meetings are planned for the time period between 7-27 July 99 and will be conducted at Bldg. 125, Webster Field, St. Inigoes, MD. Meetings will not exceed 8 hours in length. The number of personnel attending the meetings will not be limited. Please contact Lenita Ahmadi, AIR-2.4.2.6.3 at (301) 757-5914 to arrange a meeting date and provide a list of personnel, including visit request/security clearance information. These one-on-one meetings are not mandatory and will not preclude any interested offerors from further participating in this procurement. The Government will not have a prepared agenda. The purpose of these meetings is for potential offerors to discuss any technical/engineering aspects of the program, including the draft specification, such as open systems architecture, Mode 5 growth capability demonstrations, schedule, etc. For planning purposes only, the current anticipated schedule is for RFP release approximately 30 July 99, proposal submission 7 Sep 99, contract award 15 Dec 99, First Article delivery 30 Jul 00.
