makepeace.richard@epa.gov. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA), Office of Water (OW), Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water
(OGWDW), Technical Support Center (TSC) has a requirement for
sampling, analyses, and reporting of microbiological, radionuclide, and
or chemical analyses data in support of the Unregulated Contaminant
Monitoring Rule. The Safe Drinking Water Act previously established an
unregulated contaminant monitoring program by which public water
systems monitored for up to 48 contaminants considered to be potential
drinking water contaminants. Unregulated contaminant monitoring of
public water systems informs the public about contaminants not
previously observed in their water systems. This information is used in
determining whether a contaminant occurs at a frequency and in
concentrations to warrant further analysis and research on potential
health effects. The EPA anticipates a multiple award, IDIQ type
contract with a five year period of performance. As a result of the
solicitation, both large and small businesses will be awarded contracts
permitting those businesses to compete for subsequent delivery orders.
All responsible sources who submit a proposal will be considered by
the Agency. Solicitation PR-CI-99-13953 will only be released through
the Internet. It may be accessed through the EPA's home page on the
World Wide Web (www.epa.gov). The direct link URL is

information and provide updates prior to release of the RFP. It is
anticipated that this RFP will be available early to mid November,
1999. See Note 26. Posted 10/14/99 (W-SN391682). (0287) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0006 19991018\B-0001.SOL)
