for commercial items prepared in accordance with the FAR Subpart 12.6,
as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, offers are being
requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The
solicitation number is F04700-99-T-1277. This is a Request for
Quotation. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are
those in effect through FAC 97-14 and DAC 91-13. This acquisition is
unrestricted. Standard industrial classification code: 7373. Small
Business Size Standard: $18.0M. The acquisition is for a computerized
automated medication distribution system that would effectively
eliminate the time registered nurses or health care providers take to
manually count the level of medications in the clinics. This system
will automatically give a computerized printout of what medications
were dispensed, when they were dispensed and by whom they were
dispensed. The acquisition includes Contract Line Item Number(s): 0001,
one (1) each MedStation 2000 Main 6 drawer system, P/N: M2M6 or equal,
MFR: Pyxis Corp; and Contract Line Item Number(s): 0002, one (1) each
Single Column Auxiliary Unit (4 Door + 0 Drwr), P/N: M25A4 or equal,
MFR: Pyxis Corp. This automated medication distribution system will be
used to support the Edwards AFB Pharmacy when closed. The following is
the description of Contract Line Item Number 0001: 6 DRAWER MAIN UNIT:
(1) Color Touch-screen Integral with high-resolution graphics display,
(2) Display 10.4 inches (diagonal) liquid crystal display, full color
graphics, (3) Keyboard Complete alphabet with numeric and control keys.
Standard PC, full-travel, reduced footprint, (4) Printer Built-in, high
speed thermal printer, 80 columns, resolution of 150 dpi with access
door, (5) Printer Paper Thermal paper, 3 inches wide by 98 feet long,
(6) Dimensions All main units are 23 inches wide and 27 inches deep.
The 6- drawer unit is 51 inches tall, (7) Electronics Access One key
allows the top section to hinge upward, providing quick access from the
front unit, (8) Removable Rear Panel For drawer-based Stations and
Auxiliaries, emergency access to mechanical drawer latches requires two
nonidentical keys. On the Large Auxiliary, one key opens an access
panel at the top, revealing a door release latch, (9) Eyebolt For
security cable, (10) Circuit Breakers One for the system, (11) AC Power
120V AC, 100 Watts, (12) Casters Two fixed and two pivoting, (13)
Levelers Four, (14) Weight (approx). 6 drawer main, 320 lbs., (15) Heat
Evolved Six drawer main approx. 300 BTU/hr. The following is the
description of Contract Line Item Number 0002: SINGLE COLUMN AUXILIARY
UNIT (4 DOOR): (1) Dimensions All Auxiliary units are 23 inches wide
and 27 inches deep. The single column auxiliary is 76 inches tall, (2)
Electrical Plug into Main and Pyxis control cable connection, (3)
Weight (approx). The single column auxiliary is 320 lbs. FOB Point is
Destination, Edwards AFB, CA 93524. Desired delivery is30 days after
