Corps Systems Command intends to pursue through a small business
set-aside, a single award contract for Combat Vehicle Appended Trainers
(CVAT). The SIC Code for this procurement is 3699. CVAT will be a
family of high fidelity, deployable, precision gunnery networked
training systems that will append to the actual operational weapons
platforms of the Abrams Main Battle Tank (M1A1) and Light Armored
Vehicle (LAV-25). A total of approximately 78 CVAT systems are planned
for production (36 M1A1 and 42 LAV-25). The contract vehicle will
utilize Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) CLINs for Prototype units and
Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) CLINs for production units. Draft solicitation
documentation is available on the Command Internet site

are greatly encouraged. The Marine Corps intends to hold a
pre-solicitation conference on 03 December 1999 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15
p.m. at the Radisson Hotel, Orlando, FL (on the corner of Rt. 50 and
AlafayaTrail). Draft documents will be provided for industry review and
will also be posted to our Internet site. Registration information must
be accomplished via e-mail prior to 23 November 1999. Seating is
limited and attendance is restricted to three (3) participants per
firm. Only those who have registered will be allowed to attend. Please
