has a requirement to Repair Seawall, Camp Pinchot, Eglin AFB FL. This
project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials
and performing all operations in connection with installing a new
seawall at Camp Pinchot, Eglin AFB FL. The existing seawall shall be
cut and removed. The seawall shall be cut at a maximum height of 8
inches above the low tide water surface. The entire seawall from the
cut upward shall be removed and disposed of properly off Government
property. The remainder of the seawall shall be abandoned in place, and
shall not interfere with the installation of the new seawall. The
contractor shall have only 100 feet of seawall removed at a time. The
new seawall shall consist of interlocking vinyl sheet piles, 8 feet in
length, driven at least 4 feet deep, leaving at most 4 feet exposed.
The height of the new seawall shall match the height of the existing
seawall. The front (waterside) face of the new seawall shall be no more
than 1 foot in front of the existing seawall face. The New Seawall
shall be tired to round timber piles. The seawall shall consist of a
single wale, both front and back, and shall be wood capped. After
installation of seawall, backfill shall be placed to the top of the
seawall. Sod shall be placed on areas of new construction. The work
shall be located at Camp Pinchot, Eglin AFB FL. Quotes due date of 28
February 2000 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is
between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 90 calendar days.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be
considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are
interested in this project as a prime or subcontractor; contractors
