This notice constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a notice constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ #688-49-00). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 97-14. The SIC code for this solicitation is 7623. The small business size standard is $5 million. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to remove existing fill, drift climinators and branch arms to include all spray nozzles from the main cooling tower Marley Model #4-4.54.5CS, 00#12-75-1. The job entails the following: 1. Dismantling and removal of material from the cooling tower to begin after all replacement material has been delivered to the work site. 2. Furnish all necessary labor, materials and equipment to remove existing fill, drift eliminators and branch arms to include all spray nozzles. The contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of all materials and equipment being removed. 3. Install new branch lines and spray nozzles with factory specified spray system. The size and model number of spray system shall be specified by the tower manufacturer. Installation of system and nozzle spacing is to be done in accordance with manufacturer specifications and recommendations. 4. Install new fill material within cooling tower. Fill media and installation will be determined and completed according to manufacturer specifications and recommendations. System is to be spaced to gain best performance from new fill media based on manufacturer (Marley) recommendation. 5. Install new drift eliminators that are sized by cooling tower manufacturer and installed based on factory recommendation. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for repairing or replacing all damaged supports for the above mentioned materials and equipment. 7. Contractor shall also be responsible for damage that occurs to the roof material that is associated with this project. A site visit can be scheduled through the contracting officer.
