The Department of the Treasury, Operations Branch intends to procure custodial and related services, for the main IRS building, comprising approximately 1,000,000 square feet of grounds and various types of office space. This acquisition is being offered as a 100% small-business set-aside. This is a Performance Based Procurement utilizing best value procedures as set forth in FAR Part 15.101-1. Any resultant contract shall be firm fixed price award fee, for a base and four option years. The contractor shall provide services, supplies, and labor for complete custodial services to include executive offices, administrative offices, automated data processing offices (ADP) offices, hallways, restrooms, Day Care center, fitness and jogger_s facility. Print shop, copier center, library, mailroom, attics, operations and maintenance centers, air handlers, basements, sub-basements, loading dock, parking garage, moats, sidewalks and playground. PLEASE NOTE: The facility is approximately seventy years (70) old and may pose some unusual problems in performing services. The contractors are therefore put on notice to account for such age-related problems. This building is scheduled to undergo a renovation project during the life of this contract, therefore, the contractor_s) are put on notice to account for such construction related problems in performing work under this contract. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for providing trash and debris removal, snow removal, gathering of recyclable materials, and compacting, and other related services. National Agency Check (NAC) is required for employees. The applicable SIC code is 7349 and the corresponding size standard is $12M. Tentative issue date is 05/15/00.
