This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700100Q0012. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 97-11. The proposed acquisition is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 0831 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Item 0001: Service to grow 200 mix, containerized longleaf pine seedlings, using seeds provided by the Forestry Division of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The Forestry Division will transport seeds and containers to and seedlings from the Contractor's facility. Seeds are to be planted late April 2000 to mid May 2000 and ready for pick up by the Forestry Division in November 2000. All seedlings will be grown from seeds provided by the Forestry Division. The Contractor will provide the labor, containers, supplies, equipment, fertilizer and all other materials necessary to meet the contract specifications. The Contraactor will sow the seeds, assure proper cultural practices are completed, extract, pack and store the seedlings.
