This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4416-00-T0343 is a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the issuance of Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. This solicitation is set aside 100% for small businesses. The SIC code is 5261. The size standard is $5 million. The Contractor shall provide and plant approximately sixteen (16) varieties of trees of varying heights and diameters in accordance with the National Arborist Association Standards in various locations at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland as follows: Item 0001 (Qty 25) Sugar Maple (1 3/4 " dia); Item 0002 (Qty 39) Pin Oak (1 3/4" dia); Item 0003 (Qty 10) White Oak (1 3/4" dia); Item 0004 (Qty 12) Willow Oak (1 3/4" dia); Item 0005 (Qty 5) Chestnut (1 3/4" dia); Item 0006 (Qty 12) Ash (1 3/4" dia); Item 0007 (Qty 77) White Pine (6' tall); Item 0008 (Qty 18) Hemlock (6' tall); Item 0009 (Qty 10) Holly (6' tall); Item 0010 (Qty 26) Blue Spruce (6' tall); Item 0011 (Qty 0021) Norway Spruce (6' tall); Item 0012 (Qty 10) Laurel (24-30" tall); Item 0012 (Qty 6) Clump Birch (1 3/4" dia); Item 0013 (Qty 8) White Birch (1 3/4" dia); Item 00014 (Qty 4) Tulip Poplar (1 3/4" dia); Item 0015 (Qty 6) Honey Locust (1 3/4" dia). The contractor shall provide Poly Sod or an equal brand to aid in irrigation of the trees. Performance will be at Andrews Air Force Base on Mondays through Fridays from 0700 to 1630, excluding Federal Holidays: Service shall be completed within 30 days after award.
