The St. Johns County Shore Protection Project will nourish approximately 3.5 miles of coastline with approximately 3,700,000 cy of sand. The borrow area is located along and adjacent to the St. Augustine Harbor entrance channel approximately 4.7 miles north of the beach fill area. A portion of the borrow area coincides with the St. Augustine Harbor Entrance Channel. Debris removal, revetment shaping, vibration control monitoring and sea oat planting are also required. Dredging is both landward and seaward of the COLREGS Demarcation Line. The beach disposal area is seaward of the COLREGS Demarcation Line. Magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000.
