Conduct pre-placement condition surveys and place approximately 1.3 million cubic yards (CY) of sand on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey (Groin at Seaview Road to 36th Street). This will include three options for 200,000 CY each for additional sand in the same areas. The borrow area is approximately 5,000 feet offshore of Great Egg Harbor Inlet. Another option involves placing approximately 250,000 CY in Ocean City from 36th to 59th Streets with 2 additional options for 50,000 CY each in this same area. The last option involves placing sand in Strathmere, New Jersey (quantity TBD) from Seaview Road to Prescott Avenue. Sand for Strathmere and south Ocean City will come from a borrow area in Corson's Inlet. Solicitation documents will be furnished on CD-ROM only; hard copies will not be available. One copy of the CD-ROM will be furnished to each bidder at no charge. All requests for a CD-ROM shall be in writing and sent to the attention of Michelle Bertoline.
