PRESOLICITATION NOTICE -- TO NOTIFY CONTRACTORS OF A FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION -- Title: PREPLACE HEATING/COOLING, BLDG.00022, AT THE NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION, CHINA LAKE, CA. -- The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to provide a new refrigerated air conditioning system (7 each AC/w/gas heat units, from 3 to 30 ton) to replace the existing evaporative cooling. 4 each radiant heaters will be replaced with forced air natural gas heating. All controls will be installed in main office with the remote sensors located at the new HVAC units. Project includes installation of a 500KVA transformer and fire protection controls. Associated work includes, structural, interior finish and roof repair. Existing roofing material, above ceiling areas and insulation are asbestos containing material; which shall be removed and disposed of per local, county, state and federal regulations. Solicitation will offer 2 additive bid items. Additive Bid Item #1 will include the removal of the existing evaporative ducting, wrapping it in vapor barrier material and reinstalling it in the original location. Additive Bid Item #2 will include painting the gym ceiling. The SIC Code is 1711, with a related small business standard of $7.0 Million. This is a Firm Fixed Price contract. The estimated cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This Solicitation is unrestricted. -- Potential bidders should request IFB N68711-00-R-8736 over the internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil as an Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS). The subject "Procurement Notice" should appear in the CBD on 16 June 2000. Plans and specifications will be available approximately 15 days after the Procurement Notice appears in the CBD.
