This solicitation is for consolidation of mess attendant contract support services for galleys aboard the Navy's facilities in California at Port Hueneme, Point Mugu, and San Nicolas. The projected start date is 1 October 2000 for a base year with 4 optional periods of performance. Technical proposals will be required as described by the soliciation. Offerors should note that hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided but will be made available on the Navy's Electronic Commerce Online website at www.neco.navy.mil and on the procurement office's website at www.sd.fisc.navy.mil. Note that at this time electronic submission of proposals will not be accepted so offerors should read the solicitation instructions. No mailing list will be established and therefore such a listing will not be available for distribution. Information will be posted no later than 21 June on this Command's website (www.sd.fisc.navy.mil) providing information on the process for obtaining reservations for site visits. The site visit for San Nicolas Island requires arrangements for government-provided flights so offerors are encouraged to ensure timely reservations are placed.
