Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with Repairing Running Track at Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will consist of removing the existing bituminous curb around the inner and outer perimeter of the existing cinder running track; removing the existing cinder/clay mixture from the running track; regrading the existing track and immediate areas up to 20 feet around the outside edge of the track; installing a drainage channel/swale around the inside perimeter of the track; placing a 4" compacted aggregate base course with a 2" asphalt binder/leveling course; surfacing the 400 meter, 21 foot wide asphalt base with a acrylic/urethane track surface. Proposal due date of 7 August 2000 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance period is 120 calendar days.
