Eglin AFB FL, has a requirement for the construction of an 80-foot by 30 foot, pre-engineered, addition on one side of Hangar 1343, the work will be performed atHangar 1343, Eglin AFB, Okaloosa County, Florida. "THIS IS A TRADE OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant; labor, equipment and materials to remove or alter construction to an 80 foot by 30 foot pre-engineered, addition on one side of Hangar 343. This facility will be used as a storage facility for aircraft cargo pallets, cargo straps and nets, pallet bags and other mobility equipment. In general work consists of constructing an open area facility with no interior walls, although chain link fences will divide the space into three areas, each with its own overhead door for vehicle access. The space will be heatedand ventilated, and will be protected by a sprinkler system. Lighting and receptacles will be provided and the space will be connected to the building fire alarm system. The lump sum contract price shall include the cost of performing the work as shown on the drawing and as specified hereafter. The estimated dollar range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The bid acceptance period is 120 days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the plans and specifications.
