Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with Carpet Replacement/Installation at Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work may include installing or replacing base, installing or replacing carpet, installing or replacing vinyl tile flooring, installing or replacing rubber stair treads and risers, installing or replacing outdoor matting, patching floor, moving furniture, and providing labor to remedy unusual requirements related to the installation or replacement of flooring materials. The required work will be on an as needed basis and at various locations on Eglin AFB FL. The contract will be for a Basic Year and two OptionYears. Proposal due date of 15 August 2000 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Total estimated dollar range for a three- (3) year period is between $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. Performance period is 365 calendar days for Basic Year and for each of the subsequent Option period, thereafter, if options are exercised.
