The solicitation is expected to be posted on the web site on or about 11 July 2000 to provide all managment, labor, supervision, transportation to set up, and manage six (6) Pre-Expended Bin (PEB) locations at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility on Pearl Harbor in addition to supplying approximately 1,500 low dollar, high volume items from approximately 95 federal stock classes. 2) This posting is a follow-up to the Notice in the CBD of May 15, 2000 wherein the Government intended to initiate a Draft Solicitation first. NO DRAFT SOLICITATION will be let. This posting constitutes the Government's final solicitation for this acquisition. 3) This posting will consist of the solicitation, performance work statement, and 7 appendices. 4) This is a commercial requirement and will be solicited for a Base Period of 12 months. The Base Period of performance is from approximately 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. The solicitation includes FAR clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services, with four (4) one year Option Periods. 5) This is a web-posted solicitation and may be downloaded from our web-site at www.cic.pearl.fisc.navy.mil/fisc/solicitation_registration. Subsequent amendments to the solicitation if any will only be promulgated via the FISCPH web page. The Government will not mail, fax or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Because this is a web-based solicitation, a Bidders Mailing List will not be maintained. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced web page early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. The Government web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any offeror's inability to access the document posted on the referenced web page. For reference, the solicitation shall also be posted to the NECO web site (www.neco.navy.mil/search_edi.cfm). 6) A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit is scheduled for 21 July 2000 at the Fleet Industrial Supply Center, Regional Contracting Dept., in Bldg 475, 2nd Floor MIC Room at 1000 hours. Attendance is encouraged. Questions pertaining to the proposal must be submitted in writing in advance. A question format is included in the solicitation.
