We are seeking a responsible contractor to operate our range residue yard, located on White Sands Missile Range, to include identification, UXO certification, and segregation of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and range residue. Debris can be, but is not limited to, target aircraft, drones, missiles, and missile components. Additionally, all UXO and range debris will be documented, segregated, demilitarized, and sold as scrap metal. All functions will conform to DoD (Department of Defense) and Army regulations, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health) regulations and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations. There is an estimated 1,250 tons of scrap metal already certified as inert and an additional 2,500 tons of material on the range awaiting pickup, certification, demilitarization and disposal. The solicitation for this requirement will be published on our webpage (www.wsmr.army.mil/DOCPAGE/docpage.htm)on or about 31 Aug 2000. This requirement is being procured as a 100% small business set-aside.
