Services Administration (GSA), Mid-Atlantic Region, requires Mechanical
Maintenance Services at the following three locations: Robert C. Byrd
U.S. Courthouse in Charleston, West Virginia; Robert C. Byrd U.S.
Courthouse and Federal Center in Beckley, West Virginia; and Elizabeth
Kee Federal Building and Courthouse in Bluefield, West Virginia. Award
will be via source selection procedures based on the greatest value
concept. Price and technical evaluation factors will be considered. The
solicitation shall contain all proposal requirements and the method of
award. The contract will be for a base period of one year, with the
possibility of the following options: one option of one year, two
options of two years each, and one option of three years, for a total
potential performance period of 9 years. The estimated start date is
October 1, 2000. The SIC Code is 7349. This procurement is unrestricted
for full and open competition. The solicitation will be posted on the
World Wide Web at http:// eps.gov. Offerors may obtain a copy of the
solicitation through this site. However, the Equipment Inventory List
for each of the three buildings is only available in hard copy.
Therefore, any prospective offeror interested in proposing on this
solicitation must register with GSA in order to receive a copy of the
three Equipment Inventory Lists, as well as be placed on the bidder's
list for this solicitation. Include your company name, address, phone
and fax numbers, point of contact, and e-mail address. You must send
this information by fax or e-mail to bob.waring@gsa.gov. The fax number
is (215) 656-5955. Telephone requests will not be honored. The
solicitation will be available and posted on the web site the week of
July 24th. Proposals are due by September 1, 2000, 4:00 p.m. local
Philadelphia time. A pre-proposal conference will be held August 10,
2000 at 10 a.m. on the 5th Floor (Judge Faber's Courtroom) of the Byrd
U.S. Courthouse in Charleston. A tour of the building will be
conducted at 1 p.m. on August 10th. Offerors should report to the GSA
office, Room 1620, for the tour. A tour of the Kee Federal Building and
Courthouse in Bluefield will be conducted at 10 a.m. on August 11th.
Offerors should report to the main lobby. A tour of the Byrd U.S.
Courthouse and Federal Center in Beckley will be conducted at 1 p.m. on
August 11th. Offerors should report to Room 107. Additional dates and
times for tours of the three buildings are as follows: Byrd Courthouse
in Charleston on August 16th at 1 p.m.; Kee Federal Building in
Bluefield on August 17th at 10 a.m.; Byrd Courthouse in Beckley on
August 17th at 1 p.m. The location that offerors are to report in each
building remains the same. No tours of the buildings will be conducted
for offerors other than those on the dates and times specified.
Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-proposal conference
