This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotations (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700100Q0027. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The proposed acquisition is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 7125 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Item 0001 Gondola type display/store shelving new for installation in building 1301. Provide and install 1 double (back to back) gondola approximately 20 feet long and 30 inches deep on each side. 2 single gondolas (wall units) approximately 20 feet long and 30 inches deep. All gondola to be72 inches high and equipped with end panels. All gondolas to be equipped with base shelves, 4 levels of tilted merchandising shelves with 6-inch lips and 2 dividers per shelf/section, and 1 level of wire-basket shelves with 6-inch lips. Individual gondola sections to be not less than 3 feet, nor more than 4 feet long. Gondolas to be of a knockdown type, erected without nuts and bolts, and easily disassembled, if required, for movement by government personnel with no requirement for special tools or skills. Base shoes, uprights, and cantilever shelves to be of high tensile steel. Closed base front kickplates to have welded channel or equivalent non-visible reinforcement to resist impact by floor cleaning equipment, pallet jacks, etc. Base shelves to be 30 inches deep, reinforced, and have a minimum capacity of 1200 lbs each. Base shelves to be equipped with full length uptilt (45-60 degree) price tag molding to accept 1 1-4 inch price tags. Molding to be permanently attached open metal type. Upper shelves to be 24 inches deep, with a minimum capacity of 600 lbs each and to be independently adjustable at nominal 1 inch intervals. Support brackets to be attached to shelves. Shelves to have permanent price tag molding attached. All shelf load requirements based on evenly distributed shelf loads. Base shelf load levelers to be provided for all gondola sections. Each upright column on each side of a gondola must be capable of supporting a balanced load (both sides of a double gondola) of 2400 lbs, excluding base shelves. In addition, each upright must be capable of supporting an unbalanced load (one side only, without a balancing opposing load) of 240 lbs per shelf on a five shelf profile, excluding the base shelves. These requirements are based on loads being evenly distributed on each shelf. Back panels to be solid (not pegboard). Components normally painted are to be finished in a high quality baked enamel or powder-coat bonded to steel.. Contractor is to be responsible for delivery, offload, portage and installation. Forklift support will be provided by Marine corps base shop stores personnel under the guidance of the contractor. Item 0002 for Gondola type display/store shelving replacement for installation in building 1301 remove and replace. 6 double (back-to-back) gondolas. Each approximately 36 feet long and 30 inches deep on each side. 1 single gondola (wall unit) approximately 36 feet long and 30 inches deep. All gondolas to be 72 inches high and equipped with end panels. All gondolas to be equipped with base shelves and 4 levels of standard merchandising shelves. Individual gondola sections to be not less than 3 feet, nor more than 4 feet long. Gondolas to be of a knockdown type, erected without nuts and bolts, and easily disassembled, if required, for movement by government personnel with no requirements for special tools or skills. Contractor not to be responsible for removal and replacement of merchandise on shelving. Gondolas to be removed and replaced incrementally to allow as little off-shelf storage requirement for mechandise as is practicable.
