Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number FA4416-00-T0509 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This is a 100% small business set aside. The SIC code is 1711. The size standard is $7.0. Description of Services: Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items or services necessary to perform all operations in removing and replacing the existing rooftop A/C unit with one new 15 ton rooftop A/C unit and new safety disconnect, new curb, repair existing roof rails in existing ductwork, install new dehumidifier heat pipe, make connections to new unit, electrical hook-up, controls and all work necessary to make the new unit completely operational in accordance with attached Draft Statement of Work. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, " Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and addenda's. FAR 52.237.1 Site Visit and FAR 52.228-5 Insurance -- Work on a Government Installation, is applicable to this acquisition. The provision FAR 52-212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items is applicable to the solicitation and the blanks in (a) are completed as follows: Price and Past Performance. Offerors shall include with their offers, a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items; FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items is applicable and the following clauses are checked: 52.232.33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration and 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965, as amended (41 U.S.C. 351, et seq.). DFARs clause 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration is applicable to the solicitation. Attendees shall meet at Bldg 1840, Main Gate Visitor Center, Andrews Air Force Base MD and should contact the contract specialist below by 15 Sep 2000 before 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time to be granted access to the base. Responses to this RFQ must be received via fax, mail or delivery by 20 Sep 2000 no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time at the 89th Contracting Squadron, 1419 Menoher Drive, Andrews AFB Maryland. They should be marked with solicitation number and addressed to Jim Harris. Vendors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, prior to award will be ineligible for award.
