Description
Eielson AFB, Alaska is conducting a competitive sourcing study utilizing OMB Circular A-76 and AFI 38-203. The purpose of the study is to determine if it is more efficient for government or contractor operated functions within the Communications Squadron. The study will include such services as Communications Antennas Systems, Communication Cable Systems, Telephone Systems, Satellite and Wide-band Communications Equipment, Ground Radio Communications, Information Management and Visual Information. This list is not all-inclusive. The service required does NOT include the local area network, computer help desk or base telephone operators. This service is subject to the Service Contract Act. The RFP and all associated documents when issued will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) home page. The Internet address is http:// www.eps.gov NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. A draft RFP is available on this web site. Any interested contractors identifying themselves for this procurement will be placed on the Offerors Mailing List, which is also available on this web site. No date has been established for the RFP issuance. Offerors are encouraged to subscribe/register for this solicitation number through EPS to ensure they automatically receive all documents associated with the procurement in a timely manner. All associated documents will also be released electronically unless a written request is received from contractors justifying hard copies. Any resulting contract could potentially include a mobilization period, a basic year, and four one-year options. This requirement is set aside for small business. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 513310 and the size standard is 1,500 employees. GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL ARE CURRENTLY PERFORMING THIS WORK.
