Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Water seeks to award a fixed-price purchase order for analytical support services for a single sampling episode for the Aquaculture Industry. EPA requires analysis of approximately 60 field samples by ICP, GFAA, and CVAA using EPA Method 1620 (27-element quantitation). Fifteen of the samples require filtration upon receipt at the laboratory, and the resulting aqueous and solid phases will be analyzed separately. EPA will use the analytical data provided under this purchase order to develop industrial effluent discharge regulations that govern the disposal of pollutants from Aquaculture Industry sources; therefore, data produced under this purchase order must be of highest possible quality. Laboratories will be required to employ a comprehensive quality assurance program, meet facilities and equipment requirements, and provide personnel that demonstrate technical expertise in analytical chemistry techniques. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Request for Proposal Number PR-CI-01-11590 will appear on the Internet.
