Description

The Department of the Navy intends to issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) under Solicitation N62472-00-R-5575 for Preventive Maintenance and Repair of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT and its associated tenant activities. The solicitation includes preventive maintenance and repairs (scheduled and unscheduled) to a variety of heating and cooling systems, boilers and domestic hot water heaters by means of a combination firm fixed price/indefinite quantity contract. The contractor will furnish all labor, management, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment to maintain, repair and when required, to replace heating, refrigeration, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, systems, controls and related alarm systems. This solicitation contains four (4), one year option periods to be exercised by the Government if found to be in its best interests. The options may be exercised without further notice. FAR Clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services will be included in this solicitation. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following evaluation factors: (1) Offeror's Relevant Past Performance, (2) Management Plan, (3) Technical Approach and Expertise, and (4) Commitment to Small Business. This solicitation will be issued unrestricted. NAICS (SIC): 235110 Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors $11.5 million. This RFP package will be available on the Internet. The address for downloading is www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. All prospective offerors should register on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet Website (www.esol.navfac.navy.mil) for this project by clicking on the Entrance Button to access and then create an account.
