Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a sole source Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type (IDIQ) contract with Indal Technologies, Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for the Horizon Reference Set (HRS), part number 212600-3 through the Canadian Commercial Corporation. Indal Technologies is the only known designer, developer and manufacturer of the HRS that have the knowledge, experience and technical data required to fulfill the requirements within the scheduled delivery time period. The delivery schedule for the IDIQ contract is estimated at 2001 quantity (qty) of six each; 2002 qty of two each; 2003 qty of two each; 2004 qty of two each and 2005 qty of one each. The Government does not have adequate drawings for manufacturing the HRS to permit full and open competition. The Horizon Reference Set is a shipboard system designed to provide a visual reference for the pilot of a helicopter when landing during periods when the true horizon is obscured due to darkness or adverse weather conditions to land safely on the flight deck. Before all responsible sources submit a request for proposal/solicitation, your company is required to register with the United States/Canada Joint Certification Office.
