Description
Provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to furnish and install a shelter system over an existing skate park at Fort Lewis, WA. Shelter system will cover an area approximately 100 feet by 120 feet (12, 000 sq. ft). Shelter shall include the following features: Be portable for possible future relocation. Have an Indirect lighting system for safe skating (20 each 208V with 400 watt metal halide lamps, 3 Pole 208V lighting contactor & switching. Wiring methods must be addressed. Metallic raceway; i.e. conduit, flex conduit. Does not include final connectivity to power supply. Available panel: 208 volt, 3 phase, 60 amp, with 3 available spaces. Panel is located at the southeast corner of the Skate Park. Clear unobstructed interior space, open or partially open sides and ends for ventilation, no support poles running through the middle of the shelter system, engineered to meet high winds, snow and rain loads. Minimum requirements: Roof Load 35 PSF, Wind Speed of 75 MPH. Weather resistant material, low or no maintenance, minimal foundation requirements. Installation Phasing: It is anticipated that Government facilities in the vicinity of the skate park will be in use during the installation of the shelter system. The work shall be planned and accomplished so that there will be a minimum of interference and inconvenience to the customers and occupants of those facilities. Any blockage of building exits or driveways must be coordinated in advance. Subject to available supply, the Government will provide, without charge, reasonable amounts of potable water and electricity to the contractor from existing outlets and supplies. Contractor shall reasonably conserve these resources. The contractor shall be required to complete the installation no later than April 30, 2001. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises, inspection and acceptance of the shelter. This requirement is 100 per cent set aside for small businesses. The size standard for a small business concern including its affiliates is a maximum of 500 employees. SIC 2394, NAICS 314912, Shelters. Telephonic requests will not be accepted. All faxed requests must include an email address. The solicitation issued will be available for download at the Fort Lewis Contracting Office web site located at http:// www.lewis.army.mil/doc. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is 19 March 2001.
