Description

This is a synopsis for a Request for Quote on commercial items to provide building materials to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort SC 29905, F.O.B. Destination. This is an unrestricted solicitation, Standard Industrial Classification 5211 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes 44411 apply to this solicitation number M00263-01-T-0021. These commands desire building material service from call in delivery by Government credit card holders/contracting officers to delivery of the materials at both bases. Building materials will include but are not limited to the following: softwood lumber, hardwood lumber, plywood/veneer, poles, pilings, crossarms, ties, dowels, moldings, plugs, posts, stakes, wedges, counter tops, doors and door hardware, nails and fasteners, adhesives and caulking, and concrete commodities Services desired will include: ordering process, delivery schedule, and variety of building materials carried. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Quantity contract upon evaluation of the best value to the Government. Award will be made for one base year with four option periods. Solicitations will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about 15 March 2001.
