Description

Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Renovate Building 3053 for Gym and Training. This project was previously posted as Solicitation Number F08651-01-R-0005. THIS IS A "TRADE-OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with Renovating Building 3053 for Gym and Training, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will consist of furnishing all materials and equipment to renovate the existing facility for a new Fitness Center at Duke Field, Eglin AFB FL. This work shall include the demolition and removal of concrete slab, windows, interior partitions, flooring and ceilings. The new work consists of concrete slab, unit masonry, interior architectural wood work, insulation, fire stopping, sealants, steel doors and frames, wood doors and hardware, access doors and hardware, glazing, gypsum board partitions, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient and carpet flooring, toilet partitions and accessories, painting and window treatment. The mechanical work consists of mechanical demolition of existing AHU's ductwork piping and plumbing fixtures. Mechanical new work includes installation of plumbing fixtures and piping, PTACS, AHU's, ductwork, fire dampers, piping and exhaust fan. The electrical work includes lighting, power panels, fire alarm and conduit. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is located at Duke Field, Eglin AFB FL. Proposal due date of 8 May 2001 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 180 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26.
