Description
The Industry Briefing for the USAKA/KMR Integrated Range Engineering (IRE) and Logistics Support (LS) Services Acquisition originally scheduled for 14 March 2001 is now rescheduled for 26 March 2001 and will be held from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at The Huntsville Hilton, 401 Williams Avenue SW, Huntsville, Alabama in the Grand Salon. As of 12 March 2001, rooms were still available at The Hilton. An itinerary will be posted to our website (www.smdc.army.mil) as soon as possible. ALL FURTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS RELATIVE TO THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE AND WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED IN THE COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY (CBD). Pre-registration with the Contracting Officer is required no later than 19 March 2001 by emailing the Contracting Officer a company listing of attendees by name, telephone number, and address (physical and email). This will be used for admittance to the Industry Briefing. There is no limitation on the number of persons per company who may attend. Industry must also provide the Contracting Officer, by email, no later than 19 March 2001, a list of the team lead and the other team members or the prime contractor's name and major subcontractors under any other arrangement. This information is critical in planning the number of attendees to be allowed for the site visit. If this information is not received by this cut-off date, the government will arbitrarily set a limit on the number for the site visit. It is still the government's intent to release a Draft RFP on our website prior to the Industry Briefing if circumstances permit. If the DRFP is not ready for release, this will not hold up releasing at least a draft version of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY: THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT INVOLVED WITH THE TF! CONTRACTOR IN ESTABLISHING ITS TRAINING CLASSES NOR THE SCHEDULES THEREFORE. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE GOVERNMENT REGARDING THESE TRAINING CLASSES. THESE CLASSES ARE FOR TF! IN GENERAL AND NOT SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS ACQUISITION. THE INFORMATION ON USING TF! SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE INDUSTRY BRIEFING BY THE TABULAR FORMAT CONTRACTOR. The site visit is planned for the period 2 -16 April 2001 as follows: travelers must acquire tickets on Continental Airlines immediately and be in Honolulu, HI to catch the 2 April flight on Continental Airlines to Kwajalein. Identify each traveler requesting a ticket as a USAKA site visit attendee. This flight arrives at Kwajalein on Tuesday 3 April. After we get the travelers and their bags to their assigned accommodations, the Integrated Range Engineering (IRE) part of the site visit will begin. This portion will conclude on Friday, April 6. Those travelers not participating in the Logistics Support (LS) site visit should make reservations on Aloha Airlines to leave Kwajalein on 7 April. The travelers attending the LS site visit only should make reservations with Continental Airlines to leave Honolulu, HI on 9 April. The island portion of the site visit will conclude on 13 April and reservations should be made to leave the Island on Aloha Airlines on 14 April. Travelers should be at 3200 Regatta Boulevard, Richmond, CA on 16 April, 0900 for the portion of the site visit to be conducted there. The site visit should conclude by 1400 hours on April 16, 2001. To be authorized to board the flights to Kwajalein each traveler must complete the entry authorization request form posted on our web site and send it by e-mail to Donna.Burnett@smdc.army.mil not later noon March 19, 2001 with a copy furnished to Carol.Benton@smdc.army.mil. At this time, please do not request more than four per proposal team on island at any one time. A few extra copies of the approved form should be carried by the traveler within easy access.
