Description

The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to contract for multi-year firm indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract for all labor, materials and tools required to provide storage and maintenance of shaft handling gear for the U.S. Coast Guard POLAR CLASS Icebreakers. The contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This work is to be accomplished at the Contractor_s facility. The solicitation will be issued on or about 21 May 2001, with a proposal closing date of on or about 25 June 2001. Period of performance will commence on 01 October 2001 and conclude 30 September 2002 for the base year. If all options are exercised, the period of performance will conclude 30 September 2006. This is a small business set-aside best value procurement. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
