Description

This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700101Q0017. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The proposed acquisition is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 5087 (NAICS = 42185) and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Line Item #0001: qty of two (2) of the following: self-contained diesel powered "slide-in" type, compressed air foam system (CAFS) unit. This CAF shall be designed to fit into the back of a standard length and width pick-up truck body, by the use of a forklift. The CAFS shall be designed to discharge water only, foam solution only, or compressed air form solution from different discharge gates individually or discharge gates simultaneously. In addition, the consistence of the compressed air foam (expansion ratio) from each discharge shall be individually adjustable. The minimum pump performance with the air compressor in the "unload" mode shall be 100 GPM at 120PSI. Capacities and Dimensions: weight approximately 1250lbs; maximum size 97"lx48"wx36"h; water tank capacity 300 gallons; foam tank capacity 20 gallons; water pump capacity (minimum) = 80 GPM @ 120 psi; air compressor capacity (minimum) 60 cu. Ft. @ 120 PSI; engine horsepower 9 (minimum) 31hp; fuel tank (minimum) 10 gallons. Additional Requirements: poly tank, fuel cell mounted and plumed, elect hose reel, 100' of 1" reeltex hose, Elkhart pistol CAF valve, diamond plate side panels, two (2) pre-connected trays plumed and mounted to the skid (one (1) tray for minimum of 150" of 1.5" and one (1) of 50' of 3" hose). FOB Destination to Freight Traffic Branch, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC 28542. Quotes other than FOB Destination will be rejected. "OFFEROR SHALL PROVIDE COMPLETED COPIES OF FAR 52.212-3 AND DFARS 252.225-7000 WITH THEIR QUOTE. The Offeror is required to provide their Contractor's DUNS Number and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code with their quote. The CAGE code entered must be for that name and address provided by the Contractor.
