Description

Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Repair/Replace Substation #5, Building 690, at Fort Leavenworth, KS. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the removal of six (6) existing metal-clad switchgear cubicles and all associated components including the metal-clad bus interconnecting the switchgear with the transformer and any connections of relaying or protective devices located on the transformer and routing to devices in the switchgear and to install a new eleven (11) section 15kv rated metal clad switchgear unit, connect to existing 7500kva transformer with 15kv bus duct; install new conduit and wire to supply existing feeders and to install a new power circuit breaker and two group operated load break switches on the 34kv side of the transformer. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipate award of a firm-fixed price contract. This acquisition is unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 235310 with a small business size standard of $7 million for three (3) preceding fiscal years. Invitation for Bids (IFB) DABT19-01-B-0006 will be issued on or about 9 July 01 from http://leav-www.army.mil/doc. Bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (www.ccr2000.com) prior to receiving the bid package. All requests for this IFB shall be in writing and reference DABT19-01-B-0006.
