Description
Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Upgrade Building 999, Eglin AFB = FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 233320. This acquisition = is unrestricted. This is a (Performance Price Trade Off) acquisition. = Award will be made based upon the (Best Value) to the government in = accordance with FAR 15.3. The government reserves the right to award a = contract to other than the lowest price offeror. This project includes = furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to upgrade building 999. = In general the work will consist of constructing a 20-space POV parking = area with associated stormwater treatment pond. Regrade of driveway at = northeast building corner to eliminate abrupt grade change. = Constructing new inlet and pipe work to accommodate water displaced by = grading changes. The architectural work will consist of selective = demolition of interior construction and new CMU and metal stud = partitions and assorted finish systems. The mechanical work will = consist of the HVAC systems having a new air handling unit installed to = include ductwork, piping and new controls. The existing chiller and = boiler will remain. The plumbing will have new fixtures and piping for = new handicap restroom. The electrical system shall consist of, but not = be limited to, modifications to interior lighting, power and = communications. The facility will have a new fire alarm system to = operate in conjunction with fire suppression system. There will be new = exterior lighting in parking areas and front gate. A new intrusion = detection system will be required. The above general description of = work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to = perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment = complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. No = alternative bid items exist for this project. Performance period is = 270 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and = $500,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be = considered by the agency. The ESTIMATED proposal due date is 6 Aug = 2001. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the = solicitation will not be issued, but the (RFQ) will be available on the = Federal Government?s Electronic Posting Systems (www.eps.gov). No = response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be = maintained. See Note 26.
