Description

Eglin AFB FL, has a requirement to Construct Aircraft Washrack at Eglin AFB, FL. This project will consist of 7,315 square feet of 12 inch reinforced concrete slab with integral curb, including a 150 square foot pump building of 8 inch concrete masonry units with a standing seam metal roof, and also reinforced concrete footings to accept a future pre-engineered metal building system. 10,260 square feet of asphalt and crushed limestone paving for an aircraft apron. Provide complete utility connections for water, high-pressure water, and compressed air. Complete lighting, power, fire alarm, communication and other auxiliary systems, underground electrical service, exterior lighting and pad mounted transformer. Option 1 for installation of a pre-engineered metal building frame, standing seam metal roof and wall panels and a 100 square foot 8 inch concrete masonry unit storage building with standing seam metal roofing. Installation of complete lighting, power fire alarm, communication and other auxiliary systems. "THIS IS A TRADE OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Proposal due date of 28 AUG 01 IS AN ESTIMATED DATE. The estimated dollar range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The bid acceptance period is 60 calendar days. Performance period of Base Bid is 90 calendar days. Performance period of Option 1 will be 60 calendar days. If Option 1 is exercised by the Government, then the total performance period will be 150 calendar days. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list shall be maintained. Hand delivered Proposals shall be delivered to Bldg 350, Room 541, Eglin AFB FL. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED, BUT THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S ELECTRONIC POSTING SYSTEM (www.eps.gov.). See Note 26
