Description

Work includes remodeling of Buildings 87 and 76 to include demolition of existing and construction of new stud walls, doors, flooring, suspended ceilings, painting, electrical plumbing, alterations to fire protection, HVAC, exterior concrete patch and paint, and fabric canopies. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued using full and open competition (unrestricted) and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.219-4, "Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Hubzone Small Business Concerns". NAICS Code: 233320 Size standard: $27.5 million Estimated cost range: $500,000 -- $1,000,000. All prospective bidders should register on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation (ESOL) Internet Website (www.esol.navfac.navy.mil) for this project. When the IFB package becomes available (if you are registered) your company will receive an e-mail notification. In addition to the ESOL registration, bidders interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this project must submit their request with a company check, Certified Cashier's Check, or Money Order in the amount of $7.50 to Defense Automated Printing Service (DAPS), Box 40, Building 83, Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT 06340-5040. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. EACH CHECK MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF DOCUMENTS and ANNOTATED WITH THE APPLICABLE SOLICITATION NUMBER; checks without this information will be returned unprocessed. NO PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE ISSUED UNTIL PROPER PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED. One CD including the solicitation, plans and specifications will be sent via First Class U.S. Mail upon availability to those contractors who have rendered payment. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
