Description

MAINTAIN ATHLETIC FIELDS. The Government intends to acquire a firm fixed price contract for commercial services using FAR Part 12 and Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The services include but are not limited to: providing all labor, equipment, supplies, services, tools, training, and supervision necessary for the maintenance of 16 acres of athletic fields which are seeded with Bermuda TIFF 419 grass. Maintenance is to include but is not limited to the following: (1) mowing, (2) trimming, (3) fertilization, (4) reseeding, (5) over-seeding, (6) watering, (7) thatch control, (8) aeration, (9) top dressing, (10) dragging, (11) hand raking, (12) lining, and (13) policing all areas. Additionally the Contractor will prepare playing area in accordance with the specifications governing each respective sport. Coordination is also required between the Contractor and the using agency. The directors of adult/youth sports will provide the Contractor with game schedules and dimensions pertinent to the sport in season. The Contractor must ensure that all playing surfaces are maintained, level, free of holes and/or loose dirt in such a way that the dirt does not become compact and hardened.The performance period will be from 1 October 2001-30 September 2002 with 4 one-year options.More specific grounds maintenance tasks are explained in the Performance Work Statement.The NAICS code is 561730.The small business size standard is 5 million. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside.The solicitation will be posted on the EPS website (www.eps.gov).The posting date will be on or about 10 Aug 2001 and the closing date will be on or about 31 August 01.
