Description

Provide 4 Turbo-commander 690 aircraft to be used by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) performing aerial supervion missions related to firefighting. Each aircraft shall be furnished without pilot, but with full maintenance support, for a exclusive use period of 330 calendar days beginning approximately April 1 of 2002. The delivery schedule requires 2 aircraft to be delivered by April 1 of 2002 and the remaining 2 aircraft by April 1 2003. The aircraft will be based in California, Utah, Nevada, and Alaska, but will utilized throughout Alaska and the lower 48 states. This is a Multi-Year Contract covering a 5 year period, (the first 2 aircraft will be under contract from April 2002 through April 2007) and a 4 year period, (the second 2 aircraft will be under contract from April 2003 through April 2007). This is a re-advertisement of solicitation 8001-46. See advertisement 8001-49. The Government intends to award contracts for a maximum of 4 aircraft under solicitations 8001-48 or 8001-49 or both. Funds are not currently available beyond fiscal year 2002. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is August 20, 2001.
