Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consititues the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation Number MDA41401t3551, is issued as a Request For Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Cirular 97-27, Final Rule effected 6/25/2001. The Standard Classification (SIC code for this acquisition is 2731. The small business size standard is 500. List of contract line items numbers: CLIN 0001 Hampton Brown ESL Library 96 sets to 85 destionald and CLIN 0002 Picture Perfect Word Book Classroom Set 96 sets to 85 destinations, domestic and abroad. Delivery period is 30 days after award of contract. FOB Origin applies. FAR 52-212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial (oct 95) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. Offers shall include a complete copy of the provision 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quotation. FAR 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition and resulting contract. The following terms and conditions are added as an addendum to this clause: Type of Contract: The resulting contract shall be firm-fixed price. The proposed procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition procedures (SAT) for other than maximum competition and is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial items. FAR 52-212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status of Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (Aug 2000) is incorporated in this contract by reference. FAR 252-204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 2000) (www.ccr2000.com or 1-888-352-933) and 252-232-7009 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (CCR)(Jun 1998) are incorporated by reference in this RFQ.
