Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for brand name commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; prop osals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. DTRA02-02-Q-0004 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular (F AC) # 97-27 and DFARS Change Notice 20011001. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334113 and the size standard is 1,000 people. All of the network equipment shall contain the latest software version with all revisions loaded. The required delivery date shall be 31 J anuary 2002. Delivery will be FOB Destination to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency/IMSA, Attn: Charles (Chuck) Tuell, Building 20362, Kirtland AFB, NM 87117-5669. The following FAR provisions apply to this synopsis/solicitation: FAR 52.212-1. Instructi ons to Offerors-Commercial Items, FAR 52-212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible small business offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most adva ntageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factor shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) lowest priced brand name product. The acceptability of the proposed product will be determined solely on the content and merit of th e information submitted in response to this requirement. Therefore, it is incumbent on the offerors to provide sufficient technical documentation, etc., that clearly demonstrates that the item offered will meet the terms and conditions cited above. Offer ors shall submit a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quote (www.arnet.gov/far/).
